When I was a little kid, I would watch Science shows. I remembered the phrase, "Newton's Apple, Understanding the World Around You." Then later I heard someone saying that he hates rote learning, and rather prefers to think in concepts. So I made a phrase to describe myself, "I'm just trying to conceptualize the world around me." I know it doesn't sound very good, but I made it to express my feelings. So one time I was with one of my roommates and I told him, "I'm just trying to conceptualize the world around me." He then laughed at me and said, "Nope, not from a book." Me, "I didn't get that from a book." Him, "Not from a book." I don't understand, if you told someone that you're going to eat breakfast, how would you feel if someone said, "Nope, breakfast is found in a dictionary"? Later that day, my roommate laughed and said, "I'm going to be creative," then he quoted lines from the movie Princess Bride. You hear people every once in a while quote lines from that movie for their own entertainment, and I'm sure those lines are found in a book. Then later I told someone about it, and he said my phrase is plagiarism. I don't understand? That sounds weird? What are the legal aspects of it? more

Open Question: Should I get a better video card and ram for my new monitor?

I just bought a new monitor that has 1920 x 1080p maximum resolution and I'd like to get the most out of it as far as watching movies. The thing is, I have a pretty slow pc that has win xp, amd sempron 3k @ 2.0 GHz, 512mb of ram, a 420w psu, and my current video card doesn't even have a dvi output (it's an ati radeon 7k 64mb card). My question is, what is the best video card that I can get considering these specs (I don't want to end up lagging), and would it be enough for me to notice a difference, or would I just be wasting my time and money trying to upgrade my video card? If so, can you recommend a good card for me (my motherboard says AGP X 8). I might be willing to double my ram as well. I am able to spend around $70-80 total for everything. A while ago I watched a movie on TV. It was about a modern passenger plane. I think it flew through the bermuda triangle though that is not definite. As it was flying a bunch of World War 2 fighter jets appear and shoot the modern plane. The plane then crashes into the ocean. I think nearly everyone disappears or dies however the bodies in the fighter jets are in perfect condition after so many years. A young girl who was on board however ages dramatically. I've converted all my music and videos from my old computer to my new one without any problems, as they all came through just fine. Hi, I have this new samsung 50 inch tv, the problem is that when I play movies on it with my Dvd player it cuts off some of the picture at the sides. Not alot, but enough that I noticed it. I am not sure if this is my dvd player or my tv. Shouldn't my widescreen dvd's simply fit my screen without being cut off? Does anyone know of a way to do this? (Royal Knights were proven warfare material, trained to the highest calibre of warfare home or abroad, they knew only one thing - to sever head from limb :-) - as they were too fearless, and ready to die if need be. Awaiting them of course was a 'fearless' army of devout Muslims, to die in vain defending their territory took second precedence against dying for their beliefs in the almighty Allah. a formidable army lay in wait for the crusaders and so war began, not just one war but many many wars. Blood was spilled for the 'kingdom of heaven'. Women were widowed and children became fatherless from just the swift act of the sword from a strangers hand. If we could all be honest here and not let religious sentiments creep in - woudl you agree that in this war nobody REALLY WON and that God watched from the heavens shaking his head in dissapointment, this creations, his children were fighting this way ? and still are fighting this way ? I blame chrsitians and western powers today for causing ALL the mess that is prevalent in the middle east - so much dirty poltics and insincerity and lies have resulted in blood lost from both sides. The war in Afghanistan and Iraq isn't the issue - the issue is the annexation of territory that is rightfully Palestinian territory - with impostres living there and a western superpower who SAYS its a 'christian country' but is behaving anything like christianity preaches. Jesus taught us to love thy neighbour - why did the jews need to get the USA to help them in bullying, killing and anexxing territory off of Palestinians ? Couldn't the jews accept they were living in Palestinian homelands ? and consequently 'love thy neighbour' - their lives wouldnt have been at risk living alongside Palestinians surely ? instead - America and Israel have become the two most hated nations on this planet. I was watching the first two Goal! movies today, and I was really looking forward to seeing the third one, but I read a lot of awful comments about in on platforms like IMDb or Youtube, where I also saw a trailer that looks like the quality of the movie is even below the Blair Witch Project - which was aiming for bad quality! Apparently Santiago Munez, who appeared in the first two movies as a main character - and at the end of the second one was left of with many problems to be solved in the next part of the series - does not appear at all in his former role, but only plays a minor character... So does anyone know what happened? The first to parts were great, I really wanted to see how the situation with his girlfriend developed, or how he settled the issues with his manager - or simply what was happening after he won the Champions League. Periodically I get stray throughts about a movie I once saw, generally they are vague and very unhelpful in determining what the movie is. Each and every time I get this I hunt for days and cannot find the movie, and so once again I turn to yahoo in the hopes someone can make my day! The movie is something about an execution, and the guy disappears if I remember correctly, and he has the ability to move through electricity, I believe. (we were sitting nxt 2 eachother.the car is a GMC Yukon) so my cuzin was sitting on the ground in between us because there wasnt enough room. so the guy i like started to give him a noogy. nothing out of the usual. so his dad was like "look how lady like katelyn is sitting(i had my legs crossed)" and the guy i like said "yess it is very ellegant haha" and immitated mee.so wen he did this our legs were touching and my cuzin was like "whoaaa ur legs are touching!its love!" and we both started laffing. so then my cuzin started slapping him and the guy i like said "slap mee one more time" and my cuzin said "its not like u could hurt mee!!!" and then the guy i like totally pulled his sleeve up and flexed. DAYYUMMMM.they were niice.lets just put it that wayy :) so he looked at mee and was like :theyre pretty big huh?" and i was like "hah yeah they are" so he kept flexing evry once and a while cuz my cuzin kept hitting him. then my cuzin said "admit it.you love katelyn. and he said TO MY CUZIN (who is an 8 yr old guy whose known joe his whole life) "i love you haha*whispering*(being funny)" then we all started laughing. so then his dad was like "katelyn why dont u come over to our house tonight and go swimming with joe in ur bikini (jokingly!!)?" then the guy i like said "DAD!" then his dad said "yah i always tell joe 'katelyn is a really cute girl.why dont u ask her out to the movies or something?' but joe always says 'dad she's 13.im 15. why would she want to hang out with mee??"(idk if he really had this convo with the guy i like but his dad said they did lol) but then joe turned red and pretended none of that happened and started talking to my cuzin bout random stuff. then they had to get out of the car and he said "bye i love you katelyn" and i said "i love you too joe" soooo wat is ur opinion on this?do u think that he could possibly like mee???i need advice please. btw,he is a sophomore and i am in 8th grade BUT i look like this (his family thinks i look 16 and both our families think we would be the prefect couple but he said he only goes out with girls 1 yr older/younger than him....im hoping to be that exception): http://i799.photobucket.com/albums/yy272/katie17xoxo/DSCF1541.jpg more

Open Question: Windows Movies Maker problem?

I'm having problems with my movie maker. I was making an AMV, I completed it, but while working on it during a certain point in the video it would pause itself. I removed the clip and put in another clip from the same video but it paused again. I then put in a clip from another video and it does it again. I removed the music and put something else there but it still pauses it self around the same area. I can't narrow down what the problem is. So, help, please. I'll give best answer if you actually try to answer this. Or some helpful advice. I really want to save this as a movie but it won't let me because of the pausing itself, I think. It's just a project now. more
